Zavarad, the Pilgrim Sun-King,[1] was the fifth Sun-King of the Carja tribe.

Succeeding Sun-King Juwadan, at the start of Sun-King Zavarad's reign, the Sundom only reached as far north as Brightmarket, but Zavarad crossed the waters of the Daybrink to claim the land beyond. He ordered the construction of Blazon Arch on the Daybrink's northern coast to honor his success,[1] expanding the Sundom northwards.
At some point, Sun-King Zavarad had a tower for himself built to the top of the Ridge of Veils;[1] however, no sign of this tower can be found in Horizon Zero Dawn. Whether it's since been destroyed or simply isn't depicted is unknown.
After his reign ended, Sun-King Zavarad was succeeded by the Radiant Iriv.[1]
