Ybril is a minor character in Horizon Forbidden West. He is a Carja soldier stationed at Barren Light and acts as a guard for the prisoner Conover.
History[]
After another soldier named Conover was caught killing another, Laruvik, Ybril was tasked with guarding the former's cell in anticipation for his execution. Ybril was largely dismissive of Conover's claims that Laruvik was an Eclipse spy who attacked him first: while he knew Conover would never kill a fellow guard in cold blood, he found the claim outlandish. With no evidence was found to support his claims, it appeared that Conover was merely attempting to save his own skin.
When Conover managed to get the attention of the passing by Aloy, Ybril was annoyed, but nevertheless provided Aloy with additional context on the arrest. To Ybril's surprise, Conover was vindicated, and Ybril was given a recovered Eclipse mask from Aloy to prove Conover's innocence.
