Xiaolu Lunar Resources was an organization in the Old World based in that specialized in resource acquisition on the moon.

History[]

Based in Shanghai, China,[1] Xiaolu Lunar Resources' recruitment of Kristina Sun in 2036 led to the first automated Helium-3 plant being established over Tycho Crater on the moon in 2041, causing biofuel to lose market share in industrial power generation every year for the next 14 years.[2]

In 2056, Xiaolu came into conflict with Heaven¢ as the two companies wanted to mine cobalt from the same asteroid, with Xiaolu trying to block their competitor in Congress,[3] leading to a legislative battle between the two.[4]

Xiaolu's sizable robotic war fleet and competitive salaries attracted attention from young English-speaking professionals in the mid-2050s.[1]

In 2062, the Idiot Army released nearly a terabyte of internal correspondence from Xiaolu, sparking rumors that the company was preparing to downsize considerably and suggesting that the company's increasing reliance on automation may have made much of their human workforce obsolete. The correspondence repeatedly touched on the potential cost of relocating redundant personnel, suggesting that if mass layoffs were to occur, former Xiaolu employees would lose the Chinese citizenship guaranteed by their employment.[1]
