The White Teeth are one of the great weraks of Ban-Ur.
History[]
According to a Banuk story, the White Teeth were the first to find and settle in Ban-Ur while searching for a homeland, but became trapped against a glacier in the Knifetrail by a snowstorm for four days and nights. Once the snowstorm cleared, they followed a Tallneck to the land they named Ban-Ur.[1]
According to Ikrie, the White Teeth are one of the few great weraks left.[1]
Initiation Ritual[]
To join the White Teeth, a hunter must survive the ordeal that the first members did: enduring four days and four nights about a glacier in the Knifetrail. The reason behind this test is to ensure that the werak maintains the strength that its founders possessed.[2]
If applicants do not return from the ordeal, the White Teeth will honor their attempt, but not make any efforts to aid or search for them.[2]
