Vista Point are a type of collectable found across the world of Horizon Forbidden West. Similar to the Vantage Points in Horizon Zero Dawn, they provide a glimpse of a specific location during the time of the Old Ones that can be compared to the current ruins of the same location.
After scanning the associated tower, an outline of a location is copied to Aloy's Focus. In order to view the vista point, Aloy must then find the right viewpoint in the area that perfectly aligns the outline with ruins in the environment.

Unlike the Vantage Points in the first game, Vista Points recount the progress and achievements of Miriam Technologies, taking Aloy (and a few Old Ones in the comments) across the region now known as Forbidden West. Its ultimate purpose, as stated in Our Thanks is to show the visitors just how important it is to care about the world, surrounding them, as well as showcase the essential Miriam Technologies' breakthroughs.
