Ven is a minor character in Horizon Forbidden West.
History[]
Alongside young hunters Kole, Ree, Zan, and close friend Lao, Ven was part of a hunting group sent out to the Oldgrowth to hunt boars for meat to compensate for the spoiled crops. A routine hunt however gone awry saw Kole, Ree, and Zan slaughtered by an Apex Clawstrider. With Lao acting as a distraction, Ven fled back to Plainsong. Only once he was within the safety of the settlement did Ven realize he had left his friend to die.[1][2]
With the help of Aloy, the Clawstrider was defeated and Ven was reunited once again with Lao, who had managed to hide from the machines until Aloy arrived.[3]

- After patch 1.08, various wounds are added to Ven's model to reflect the injuries he earned from the Clawstrider.
