Traps are weapons that can be used to snare and destroy machines in Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West. They can be created using the crafting system, purchased from merchants, or found in some Treasure Boxes.

Notes/advice[]

  • Especially in HFW traps are extremely costly rendering playstyles relying solely on traps an economical challenge as kills don't provide enought materials and shards to sustain themselfs.
  • When used in close combat the player has to be cautious as traps will also deal potentially massive damage to aloy (especially when "resilient trapper" is only low level)
