Thurlis is a minor character in Horizon Forbidden West. He is a hunting goods merchant found at the Hunting Grounds: The Daunt.
History[]
A merchant and weapon crafter, Thurlis once had a shop in Chainscrape before it burned down. While unable to prove it, Thurlis believes that Ulvund, Chainscrape's self-appointed leader, set the shop on fire after Thurlis refused to give him the "Ulvund discount". After the incident, Thurlis chose to leave the town for his own safety.
Aloy found Thurlis during her search for the Vanguard in the Daunt. After being saved by the huntress from a pack of Scroungers, Thurlis gave her his custom-made Shock Tripcaster as thanks and gave her information regarding the Vanguard's whereabouts. As he left for the Daunt's Hunting Grounds, he advised her to come and check out the trials when she had a chance.
He was friends with Karhn and claimed they used to get in trouble together.
