The Thunderjaw Mandible is a special item that can only be obtained during the errand "Geared Up: Icerail".

In the Banuk settlement of Longnotch, Nora Brave and werak chieftain Aloy meets an Oseram tinker called Varga. When showing Varga the Icerail that Aloy obtained during the quest "For the Werak", Varga mentions that she can improve the weapon with the use of a Thunderjaw Mandible. Varga says that this can only be scavenged from the Thunderjaw, and offers to help Aloy defeat one.
Trivia[]
- The Mandible does not need to be obtained while the quest is active, nor does it need to be found at the site Varga specifies.
- The Mandible allows the Icerail to shoot Ice Cannon darts.
