Notes/advice[]

  • The +65% Draw Speed bonus on this bow can be stacked with Draw Speed coils. With 5 Very Rare coils, the bow can achieve full overdraw in less than 1 second.
    • Boosting Draw Speed in this way directly increases damage due to the Concentration Damage and Overdraw Damage bonuses. Faster Draw Speed allows more shots before Concentration expires and Overdrawing every shot happens almost automatically.
    • This rapid draw speed allows the bow to function as a longer range, overpowered Warrior Bow, making it more viable than expected in close quarters but without suffering from a Warrior Bow's heavy arcing at medium or long range.
  • Purgewater Arrows give this bow a lot of utility against larger, more dangerous machines, especially Bellowbacks, whose attacks can be extremely dangerous and are nearly all elemental.
    • Consider notching additional Purgewater Arrows with Triple Notch against larger machines to trigger the Drenched status immediately.
    • The high level of Tear Damage on regular arrows and the bow's bonus to Component Tear makes it trivial to detach Purgewater Canisters for crafting additional ammo.
