Only I see the fundamental contradiction here? If Chariot-type robots were immune to hacking, why not just send them to dealt with rouge swarm? To secure against repetition, the elementary measures could be taken (such as removed ability to produce some vital electronic parts, to ensure that counter-swarm would depend on human suppliers)
