Taim is a minor character in Horizon Zero Dawn.
History[]
Taim is a Nora Brave living in Mother's Crown in the Nora Sacred Lands. He can be found standing on a lodge porch near the northern entrance of the settlement.
Taim was hunting boar east of Mother's Crown when he encountered a Sawtooth. He evaded the machine but lost his lucky ring, a prized possession made from a machine's jaw that originally belonged to his maternal grandmother.

Luck of the Hunt[]
When Aloy visits Mother's Crown, she encounters Taim, who asks her to help the tribe by hunting for boar skins for the settlement's Stitcher. He also asks her to look for his lost ring while she is out. Aloy finds the ring in the throat of a dead boar - the same boar Taim had been hunting when he lost it. The boar had evidently tried to eat the ring and choked to death on it. She retrieves it and brings the ring and the boar skins to Taim at a campfire just outside the settlement's walls. Taim gladly receives the items, deciding to wear the ring around his neck to prevent it from being lost again.
