The Striped Bass is a species of wildlife in Horizon Forbidden West.
The striped bass seen in the Horizon series appear to be real world striped bass, a species that can be found in along the Atlantic Coast along southeast North America, Central America and northeast South America.

In the Old World[]
Striped bass zygotes were among the animals that were successfully collected and stored within ARTEMIS for later use in Project Zero Dawn before the Faro Plague eradicated the species.
In the New World[]
Despite not being among the animals listed by Charles Ronson as a pioneer organism,[1] striped bass were released into the wilds, becoming common in the coastal waters of the Forbidden West and the Burning Shores. Whether they are indeed pioneer organisms and were released under GAIA's orders or were released by ARTEMIS during its independence is unknown.
Behavior[]
Striped bass are timid and quick to swim away upon detecting Aloy, never turning aggressive.
Loot[]
When looted, striped bass will always have Rich Meat and/or Wild Meat, and will occasionally have a Bass Bone, Bass Skin, and/or a Saltwater Fish.
