The Stand of the Sentinels is a region in the Forbidden West, located to the west of the Sheerside Mountains and north of the Raintrace.
Geography[]
The Stand of the Sentinels is a dense forest of towering California Redwood trees, whose wood is said to run red with the blood of those killed during the Clan Wars according to the local Lowlander legend.[1]
History[]
In the Old World[]
The Stand of the Sentinels was known to the Old Ones as Sierra National Forest, located in California.
A father and daughter came to the Sierra National Forest on a hike. The daughter was especially unhappy with her situation, spending most of her time in her tent.[2]
In the New World[]
In the New World, the region came under control of the Tenakth, who named the area the Stand of the Sentinels. During the Clan Wars, the Sky and Lowland Clans fought for control over this region, which was situated between their tribal territories.
A settlement with no known name was constructed in the trees in the Stand of the Sentinels, but was later abandoned during the Clan Wars, with the remains now being circled by a Tallneck.[1]

Around nine years prior to the Derangement (circa 3011), Jay Squad of the Lowland Clan were ambushed by the Sky Clan, leaving all Lowlanders but Garokkah dead. A memorial was constructed to honor these fallen soldiers.[1]
At some point during the Clan Wars, the Stand of the Sentinels was under the control of the Sky Clan, with Ikkotah and Chekkatah among those who successfully held it from Hekarro and the Lowland Clan. Ikkotah notes this to be one of the few battles Hekarro ever lost.[3]
In the present day, the Stand of the Sentinels appears to be under the control of the Lowland Clan, although Sky Tenakth sometimes come to the Stand of the Sentinels to hunt machines.[4]
