Signak is a character mentioned only in datapoints in Horizon Zero Dawn.
History[]
Signak was the chieftain of an unknown werak in Ban-Ur.
When his mate, Ili became pregnant, he believed the child to be his, not knowing that she had instead been impregnated by Arnak, one of his werak's hunters, during a night together.[1] After the birth of the child, Tektuk, he was claimed by Signak as his son.[2]
Death[]
Sometime later, Signak was found dead. Believing Arnak to be responsible, the werak stripped him of his clothing and exiled him from Ban-Ur.[3] Ili reacted to her mate's death with no emotion.[4] Arnak later wondered if Ili killed Signak because he found out the truth and she needed to defend herself.[1]
At some point after being exiled, the Banuk declared Arnak innocent,[5] although it remains unknown if they knew who killed Signak.
