- "Ssh, shh. I'll keep the moon from your brow."
- ―Abas soothing Shianah
Shianah is a minor character in Horizon Zero Dawn.
History[]
Background[]
Shianah is a Shadow Carja refugee living on the outskirts of Sunfall in the tent city known as Shadowside with her older brother, Abas.[1] She enjoys playing ball games and aspires to become a soldier.[2]
Horizon Zero Dawn[]
Abas talking to Ghaliv about Shianah.
Shianah fell ill, with Abas doing all he could to soothe her. While visiting Shadowside, Aloy approached and commented on Shianah's sickly appearance. Abas explained that there are no healers willing to help the poor refugees in the tent city, but points her to Blazon Arch where Ghaliv, a potentially convincible healer, can be found. Aloy agreed to find him and try to get help for Shianah. After paying him with a Thunderjaw Heart, Ghaliv came to Shadowside to treat Shianah.[1]
During later visits, Shianah can be seen playing with the other children in Shadowside.
During the Battle of the Alight, as HADES began broadcasting a reactivation code of the Faro Plague, Shianah was playing with a ball when she was interrupted by a reactivated Deathbringer hauling itself out of the ground right in front of her. Later, as Shianah was being shielded from the Deathbringer by another Shadow Carja refugee, Aloy purged HADES from the Spire, causing it to broadcast the deactivation code, deactivating the Deathbringer.[3]
