Shelly Guerrera-McKenzie is a character in Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds. She worked at a dam at Yellowstone National Park until her job was taken over by servitors in 2046. Near the end of her time at the dam, she formed a band called Concrete Beach Party with her coworker Laura Vogel.
History[]
Shelly Guerrera-McKenzie joined a team of six people that oversaw the operations of a dam that served as a backup power source for Yellowstone National Park facilities.[1] She found solace in her job when she broke up with her partner Quentin, as it allowed her to cry while she performed her duties.[2] Her team was gradually decreased in favor of increased automation, and in 2046 she and Laura Vogel were the last two employees, who had to train the servitors that would replace them when they were laid off later that year.[3]
