Shahavad is a minor character in Horizon Zero Dawn.

Shahavad is a Carja trader located in Pitchcliff. He services wealthy clients by delving into ruins for valuable ancient artifacts. To increase the value of his delves, he prefers risky and dangerous locations.

While exploring the Eastern Ridge near the border, Shahavad found an abandoned workshop. Amazed by the unique equipment, he took a device from the workshop and stashed it in Pitchcliff before leaving temporarily. Unbeknownst to him, the device was a machine lure, built by the Oseram warlord Dervahl. Drawn to the lure, swarms of Glinthawks began attacking Pitchcliff.
Barely escaping a Glinthawk attack upon returning, Shahavad realized the device was responsible, but was unable to turn it off. Investigating the source of the attacks, the Nora hunter Aloy found the lure, and Shahavad beside it. After Aloy destroyed the lure, Shahavad told her about the workshop, but warned her that an avalanche had destroyed the path he used to reach it.
