Shadow's Reach is an Old World site in Horizon Forbidden West that has been occupied by remnants of the Eclipse.
History[]
Sometime during Operation: Enduring Victory, this facility was used as a base by the Old Ones. Upon approach by the Faro Plague, the commanding officer attempted to detonate the explosives inside the facility to destroy the robots but failed.
Around 1000 years later, remnants of the Eclipse led by Vezreh came across the site. With forced labor provided by captured Utaru, the site was excavated to discover the secrets within.
Aloy would either stumble across the location of the ruin while exploring No Man's Land or received the coordinates after scanning an Eclipse Focus in the Daunt. Fighting her way through the base, she rescued the Utaru captives and eliminated all the Eclipse and overridden machines within.
