Salt Bite is a datapoint in Horizon Forbidden West. It is the thirtieth item in Scanned Glyphs.

Well, at least the Tenakth have a sense of humor. We had made the long journey through the desert to Salt Bite - a name that I should've taken into consideration, in hindsight. Upon arrival, I was eager to rid myself of sand and dust from the road and immediately trudged towards the lake to refresh myself. I ignored all the hushed stares. My reputation preceded me, I assumed.
So I waded in, splashed water on my face, and took a draught. Stinging pain racked my eyes as I choked back bile. A surge of laughter came from the shore. It was an ungracious spectacle, but one of my companions finally took mercy of me and gave me clean water to rinse my eyes and mouth with.
He then pointed to the whitish rock formations around the Lake, showing me the salt for which it is named. Edible, but it renders the water devoid of life. Even so, the area is a major source of food for the clan, as they hunt birds that proliferate around the shallows.
My companion smiled as I coughed up the last of the brine. I couldn't help but shake my head and laugh. From this place I discovered two things. One: the Desert Tenakth make do, whatever the circumstances. And two: being a good sport goes a long way.
