Rhavid is a minor character in Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds. He is one of the quest-givers for Into the Frozen Wilds, found along the Way of Broken Stones close to Meridian.
History[]
A nobleman with an interest in machine hunting, Rhavid had planned on journeying to the Cut alongside a troupe of experienced hunters. However, after rumors emerged of a slaughtered Banuk party, daemonic machines, and a mysterious evil miasma, he was barred from leaving by his father, who did not want to risk the future of his family. Rhavid was bitter about the hunt being calling off, complaining that the sword he received for his sixteenth birthday has not seen any real combat.[2]
Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds[]
Aloy overheard Rhavid complaining out loud to himself about not being able to hunt machine. He explained the situation to her. When asked about his hunting experience, he mentioned that he had his bearers carry a Lancehorn for him to shoot at, which Aloy was unimpressed by.[3]
After her adventure in the Cut, Rhavid called Aloy over when he saw her, eager to ask about it. When told that he would need a lot more training for an adventure like she had, he boasted that he had his steward buy a whole Longleg from the metal markets for the house guards to carry around with wild abandon, to which he stood his ground. Aloy retorted that Rhavid needed to find another hobby.[4]
Personality[]
Rhavid appears to be well-meaning, but is hopelessly spoiled and sheltered from the dangers of the world, complaining that he wishes he wasn't born noble so that he could do as he wants, like outlanders can.
