Rea is a minor character in Horizon Zero Dawn. She is an Utaru pilgrim in Meridian as part of a journey to honor a lost companion.
History[]
Rea, her friend and Ourea escaping during the Liberation of Meridian.
During the Red Raids, Rea and her friend was captured by the Carja, imprisoned in Meridian. During the Liberation, they were able to escape and fled east. As they ran, Rea's companion was killed by machines near the Lake Shrine.[1]
Rea was able to return to Plainsong, but found herself unable to mourn her friend properly.[2] Choosing to return to Meridian and assisted by Mournful Namman, he had Aloy destroy the Snapmaws near the Lake Shrine. Rea thanks Aloy for her work in allowing her to be able to properly mourn her fallen companion.[3]

- Rea wears the Utaru Plainswalker face paint.[4]
- Rea is the only Utaru that Aloy can interact with in Horizon Zero Dawn.
- Rea, along with other Utaru seen in Horizon Zero Dawn, wear clothing and face paint that is notably different than that of Utaru seen in Horizon Forbidden West.
