Pentalla found two rats while looking to prepare a Tenakth meal for Sun-King Avad, wanting to use Tiny Meat from them. Horrified at the idea of serving rats to the Sun-King, Milduf sabotaged the coals with Kindleweed Oil to ashen the rats. Still determined to feed the ashen rats to Avad, Pentalla was convinced to back off by Milduf.

Description

Rats are small and fast, and are thus easy to miss. They are the smallest killable thing in the game, and can be the hardest to hit. However, their appropriately tiny health pool makes it so that any form of damage is enough to kill them.

Rats can be found all over the world of Zero Dawn, but seem to most frequently be found on the shores of rivers and in most of the ruins scattered throughout the world.

Rats will not attack or cause any harm to Aloy. Rather, they will flee quickly and evasively when she gets close unless undetected.

Loot

When killed, rats can be looted for Tiny Meat, and sometimes either Rat Skin or Rat Bone, as well as a Animal Talisman Skull, Tail, or Tooth.

• Rats are the sole source of Tiny Meat.
