Purgewater is an uncommon resource introduced in Horizon Forbidden West.
This uncommon resource is a primary crafting ingredient for Purgewater ammunition types.
Description[]
Purgewater is a capri colored processing liquid used to regulate internal functions in certain machines.
Uses[]
In Battle[]
When a target's elemental meter is completely filled, the target becomes Drenched, a state which disables elemental attacks. For example, a Scorcher would still be able to use its Cinder Claw attack, but flames would not come out from the attack.
When a target is Drenched, it also makes them more susceptible to all elemental damage and states, allowing elemental damage to be used against machines that would normally be resistant. For machines whose attacks are heavily based around elemental abilities, the Drenched state will leave them much weaker, if not impotent.

Machines that have a resistance against Purgewater usually have Purgewater canisters on them. Machines that are weak towards Purgewater usually also contain a Purgewater canister on them. An incomplete list of machines that contain Purgewater include:
