The Proving Trophy is a special item in Horizon Zero Dawn that can be obtained from two Grazers during The Proving.
History[]
Proving Trophies are taken from Grazers by young Nora during the Proving to place on the altar at Devil's Claw. So long as the trophy is placed on the altar, they are considered successful.[1] It appears that shattering another participant's Proving Trophy is not against the rules.[2]

During the Proving, Aloy took down a Grazer and extracted a Proving Trophy from it. However, Bast shattered it with an arrow, forcing her to obtain a second one. At the end of the Proving, the participants all put their trophies on the altar successfully, Aloy being first, making them all Braves.[2]
