Pangea was a 21st century science fiction media franchise created by Londra Productions, featuring hero Jane traveling through portals to fight dinosaurs.
History[]
Pangea was immensely popular with the public, leading the market-driven franchise to create a theme park, Pangea Park, the Pangea Figurine toy-line, and a fast food restaurant, Rex Mex.[1][2] The franchise also included a child-friendly mascot, Reggie, who was detested by Londra Productions founder Walter Londra and divisive among fans.[3][4]
Pangea Park was constructed to capitalize on the popularity of the franchise.

Plot[]
In the first movie in the franchise, Jane arrived for her first day working at PortTech. Mere hours later, she defeated a deadly Dimorphodon, the first of many dinosaurs she would defeat in combat.[10]
Siege of Pangea featured a raptor raid, including Green Raptor, that Trevor had to escape from.[5] One scene showed raptors eating each other's young.[11]
Pangea Forever featured Blood, the leader of a deadly carnivore hoard of Red Raptors,[7] as well as Queen Rex during the climax,[12] where Jane sacrifices her chance to return home and runs back into the exploding volcano to defeat her and save Trevor, where she recites the iconic line: "How could I not come back? Being with you feels like belonging. It feels like home."[6]
Phantom of Pangea featured Reggie the Pterodactyl.[8] This instalment was intended to appeal to kids.[3]
Others[]
Pangea Pompeii was a live performance at Pangea Park, recreating iconic scenes from the holos.[12][6]

Reception[]
The Pangea franchise was massively successful, with huge spikes in profit whenever a new holo was released.[1]
Despite its success, producer Walter Londra had many qualms with the franchise, feeling that the marketing was crass.[1] Additionally, he felt that making Phantom of Pangea appeal to kids was a mistake and that Reggie the Pterodactyl was a disaster of a character.[3]
The food associated with the Pangea franchise appears to have had a poor reception, as Londra[1] and an unnamed fan voiced their disgust with it.[2]
Trivia[]
- The Pangea franchise has similarities to the Jurassic Park franchise, as both prominently feature dinosaurs. The ring-shaped Pangea Portal heavily resembles the Stargate from the eponymous Stargate franchise.
