Stemmur holding an ornament
An ornament is a collectable item in Horizon Forbidden West. They are relics from the Old Ones that can be found in ruins across the map.

The ornaments were created as part of a "Nights of Lights" promotion run in the Old World city of Las Vegas by the company StandoutHolo. The promotion, set up by a man named Kyle, was intended to provide a sampling of the company's holiday light production capabilities.[1] However, the ornaments were stolen prior to the event and scattered throughout ruins in various parts of the region.[2] The text logs within the ornaments reveal that the thief was a man named Tom, one of Kyle's spurned associates. Tom and his friends - Amir, Alisa, Natasha, and Carlos - call themselves the "Golden Toucans." The group set out on a road trip to leave the ornaments in random locations.
When the Oseram showman located at Hidden Ember began to explore the ruins of Las Vegas, Stemmur notices one of these ornaments locked away and asks Aloy to retrieve it. Stemmur uses the ornament to light their settlement and offers Aloy the ability to turn in other ornaments to change the lighting display. When all ornaments are returned, he gifts Aloy the unique weapon Ancestor's Return.

With the exception of the "Gizmo" retrieved for Stemmur during his errand, the ornaments are found by exploring locations called Relic Ruins. Also with the exception of Gizmo, each ornament contains a text log.
