- "The long night ends, and the setting sun will lead us to salvation."
- ―Savohar
The Order of Twilight is a small offshoot of the Shadow Carja that Lokasha and Savohar were part of.
History[]
Those who would become the Order of Twilight were among the Shadow Carja that fled Meridian alongside Itamen when Jiran was murdered (actually by Ersa, but was publicly reported have been by Avad), but found their life in Sunfall to be difficult. The Sun-Priest Savohar protected them from the corrupt Sun-Priests and the Kestrels. When Sunfall fell to Sun Carja forces, the Order of Twilight fled west in search of a better life, as they considered Avad unworthy due to his patricide.[2]
Its members made camp at Twilight's Landing, west of Chainscrape, while Sun-Priest Savohar went up a nearby watchtower to meditate on their next steps. They believed that the Stormbird that crashed there was an omen.[2] They blocked the path up to the Stormbird so that Savohar's meditation was not interrupted, which angered Tolland Cleanbroker, who had shot down the Stormbird and wanted to get to the valuable salvage.[3]
Events of Horizon Forbidden West[]
The huntress Aloy was sent by Petra to convince the Order of Twilight to move on so that they did not suffer at the hands of Tolland and his allies. Lokasha insisted they had to wait for Savohar to return, but admitted that he was taking longer than usual and acquiesced to Aloy going up the tower to investigate. She found Savohar injured, starving, and near death. Although she tried to convince him to return for medical treatment, he succumbed to his injuries while Aloy salvaged the Pristine Stormbird Heart for him. She gave it to Lokasha, who used the proceeds to start a new life in Chainscrape.[4]
