Omas is a minor character and potential opponent in Horizon Zero Dawn.

History[]

Omas is a Carja farmer[1] and scholar,[2] working alongside Vashad and two women.[3] They borrowed shards to buy seeds for their farm, but the harvest did not turn a profit. Knowing that if they could not come up with the shards to pay their debt, they would lose his farm and home, they turned to hunting Snapmaws for Snapmaw Hearts in order to pay off the debt.[1] Unbeknownst to them, their hunting attracted flocks of Glinthawks that, as well as scavenging the Snapmaw carcasses, were also frequently attacked Lone Light, a nearby Carja settlement.[3]

Hunters' Blind (HZDR; 36)

Omas and Vashad being confronted by Aloy.[3]

The Lone Light villager Ilsadi asked the Hunters Lodge for help fend off the Glinthawks and find a way to stop them coming back. Although Sunhawk Ahsis refused the hunt, Hawk Talanah agreed and recruited Aloy to help.[3] Aloy traced the source of the Glinthawk attacks to the farmers and asks them to stop hunting so many Snapmaws nearby. Vashad refused to leave until they has the machine parts. Aloy either gives him the last Snapmaw Heart they need and they left or she killed them all.[3]
