Nikhita Arand is an Old One revered by the Quen tribe.[1] She was the founder of the biofuel company Symbio.
History[]
Nikhita Arand was the Chief Executive Officer of the Indian biofuel company Symbio. She obtained a veritable fortune from this business, as her biofuel known as "Rama5" was revolutionary in the early 2030s, designed as an alternative to the fossil fuels that were steadily destroying global climate.[2]
Although Arand was the CEO of the corporation, she relied heavily on its chief scientist and inventor, Kristina Sun. However, tension between the two led to Sun's departure from Symbio in 2036. It was rumored at the time that Arand's distaste for sharing her spotlight was the catalyst for Sun's exit.[2]
Sun then began working for the lunar energy company Xiaolu Lunar Inc. Her expertise helped Xiaolu advance in the energy sector to rival Symbio, whose position as a power generation leader had begun to dwindle along with biofuel market shares. In 2042, Sun issued a prophetic message to Symbio: "the moon represents the future."[2]
Given that Rama5 remained popular in India into the 2050s, it appears Symbio managed to maintain success despite the challenges facing the biofuel industry.
Legacy[]
Arand is revered by the Quen as an Ancestor within their Legacy. They refer to her as "The Spark" and credit her with giving rise to their empire.[1]
When wondering who else could be among the Zeniths, Alva suggested Arand due to her position as an Ancestor to the Quen.[3] However, there is no evidence to confirm if she was part of Far Zenith.
