Horizon Wiki

Naltuk is a Banuk shaman and a minor character in Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds.

History[]

Background[]

Naltuk was selected by Ourea to be her apprentice soon after completing his training. While Naltuk was shocked that such a prestigious shaman would choose someone without any practical experience, he gladly accepted the offer.[1]

After the failed assault on Thunder's Drum, Naltuk was ordered by Ourea to observe the mysterious Control Towers that had been popping up across The Cut.[1]

Sometime later, he was approached by Aloy, who was searching for Ourea for answers about the Daemon. Once Aloy neutralized the Control Tower and the nearby machines, Naltuk told her where to find Ourea, sensing that she would give his mentor the hope she wanted.[2]

Upon Ourea's death, Naltuk was made an official shaman of the werak. While uncertain of his ability, he helps Aratak and Aloy locate the Fireclaws which had escaped Cauldron EPSILON.[3]

Personality[]

Due to his lack of experience and humble roots, Naltuk suffers from low self-confidence. Nevertheless, Naltuk is determined to prove his worth to the werak. While not the shaman Ourea was, Naltuk is still a capable shaman in his own right.
