Milu is a character in the Horizon Zero Dawn comic series, and a returning character in Horizon Forbidden West. She is a member of the Utaru tribe, and a Thrush within the Hunters Lodge, sponsored by Sunhawk Talanah.

Between Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West[]

Shortly after the Battle of the Alight, Milu left Plainsong for the Sundom, looking to join the Hunters Lodge to learn how to hunt as a means of helping her tribe.[1]
After gaining entry to the Hunters Lodge, Milu was chosen as a Thrush by Talanah Khane Padish. Talanah trained Milu in both hunting and survival, although her training is evidently unfinished. Talanah shared the story of how Redmaw was slain and the story of the Saviour of Meridian with Milu.[1]
Milu accompanied Talanah into the Forbidden West in search of Amadis.
Horizon Forbidden West[]
Aloy heard from Mian about a Carja nearby with an Utaru Thrush. Recognizing the Carja as Talanah, she went looking and found them fighting a Longleg, with Milu injured. Once Aloy and Talanah destroyed the Longleg, another Longleg and a pair of Leaplashers appeared, Milu stayed out of the fight while her Hawk and fellow Thrush killed the machines. Afterwards, Milu expressed her excitement at meeting Aloy. Talanah then sent Milu back to Stone's Echo to recover from her injuries,[2] where she got into an argument with Mian over being Talanah's Thrush.[3]
Milu returned to Barren Light with Talanah as she returned Amadis to the Sundom, though she felt pained to leave her homeland of the Forbidden West a second time.[4]
Personality[]
Milu seems to be a kind and optimistic young woman.
Unlike most Utaru, Milu is completely open to outlanders, and holds no ill will against the Carja for the Red Raids.
