Maleev is a minor character in Horizon Forbidden West.
History[]
Maleev is a Carja guard stationed in the Daunt outside Barren Light. It is while he is on duty that Raynah and her bodyguard attempt to retrieve a signal lens from a Carja signal tower outside Barren Light. Irritated that the incident occurred during an already unfortunate day, Maleev was unsympathetic to the bodyguard's death and was uninterested in investigating Raynah's wellbeing.
Aloy first encounters Maleev when he is attempting to remove the bodyguard's body from a path after he falls to his death. Aloy then follows the path to the signal tower where she meets Raynah.
