Maleev is a minor character in Horizon Forbidden West.

Maleev saw Raynah and her bodyguard attempting to climb a mountain[2] to retrieve a Signal Lens from a Carja signal tower,[3] during which the bodyguard was killed. Irritated that the incident occurred during his shift on an already unfortunate day,[2] Maleev was unsympathetic to the bodyguard's death as he attempted to drag his body away. When Aloy asked what happened, Maleev vented about his frustrations about the incident. When they heard Raynah screaming, Maleev dismissed her plight as self-inflicted and ignored her as Aloy went to investigate.[1]
When Aloy returned, Maleev was still attempting the drag the bodyguard's body away as he asked if everything was okay. Aloy, surprised by the concern, asked if he cared now, to which Maleev quickly stammered that he didn't care and was just making small-talk. Aloy sarcastically told him to keep up the good work as she left.[4]

- Funnily enough, no matter how much time passes or quests are completed, Maleev will remain attempting to drag the bodyguard's body away with no success indefinitely.
