- DAVID MAKUTO: Got to be honest, I don't really know what to say to the future. So I guess I'll say something to the past instead. Mum, Dad... I know you'll never hear this, but I wanted to say thank you. For all those times you dragged me along as a kid to volunteer at Hot Zone relief centers. You used to say, "You have to pay it forward. The future will always be brighter for it." I'm trying to live up to your example. I love you. We'll be together again soon.

This datapoint is located in a secret room at the very back of the Base. After crawling through vents on the same level as the server room (where Beta can be found after Cradle of Echoes and until leaving for Cauldron GEMINI during GEMINI), Aloy will come across a locked door. The door needs to be powered up via a terminal in a room that's opened up as the story progresses. The door code can be obtained by entering the numbers found in I: A Little Flourish, II: Caterpillars and Chrysalises, III: The Vault, and On the Regional Control Center.
