Lahavis is a minor character in Horizon Zero Dawn.

History

Background

Lahavis is a Carja noble living in Brightmarket with his teenage daughter Elida. He was aware of Elida's friendship with Atral since they were young.

Although his occupation is not revealed, he appears to be in a position of authority as he mentions writing edicts that he intended to help keep Elida safe from the Carja Civil War. After Atral went west following the Liberation, the war put a strain on his relationship with his daughter, who disagreed with the war and the cease-fire.

At some point, Lahavis was given the position of Champion by a Sun-King.

Horizon Zero Dawn

After Elida went missing, Lahavis searched for her, demanding the guards also search, but they refused, noting that girls often run away at Elida's age, despite Lahavis' insistence that she wouldn't. He asked her friends if they had seen her, they hadn't in weeks, but agreed to look for her. He met Aloy as he was searching the water out of desperation. She agrees to search for her, and went to check his estate.

Lahavis reunited with Elida.

When Elida returned home, Aloy told Lahavis that she needs him to listen to her. Lahavis rushed to the garden to speak to his daughter. Elida admitted to being together with Atral, and apologised for worrying him. Lahavis wished he had known, but promised to do better for her.
