Kulrut

The Kulrut is a tournament held in the Arena at the Memorial Grove, the capital of the Tenakth tribe. It is a trial-by-combat, with those who defeat a machine becoming Marshals.

Overview

A Kulrut is held whenever the Chief sends out a call for it. Each of the three clans will then select fighters to participate and send them to the Memorial Grove. The Kulrut cannot not begin without participants of all three clans in attendance.

For the challenge itself, the contestants jump into the arena from above and fight machines within the arena. All those who defeat a machine are thereafter named Marshals. One does not have to be Tenakth to partake in the Kulrut.

Trivia

• "Kulrut" is similar to the Mongolian term "Kurultai" (Mongolian: ᠬᠤᠷᠠᠯᠲᠠᠢ, Хуралдай, Khuraldai; Turkic: 𐰴𐰆𐰺𐰞𐱃𐰖, Kurultay), which was a political and military council of ancient Mongol and Turkic chiefs and khans.
