- "If the Goddess spoke, it must be so."
Acting as leaders for the Nora in both political and religious matters, as High Matriarchs Jezza, alongside Teersa and Lansra, aim to lead the tribe through many crises and situations, following the customs of the All-Mother and presiding over many difficult decisions.
Because she is a High Matriarch, it is assumed that Jezza has living children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Jezza appears to be level-headed and more tolerant than Lansra, showing compassion to Aloy when she is anointed a Seeker. She has great reverence for All-Mother and the traditions of the Nora.
- Because Jezza leads the initial part of the Blessing ceremony, readies the tribe in a Hymn, and shows overall deference to All-Mother, it may be assumed that she is the spiritual leader of the tribe.
- Jezza's headpiece is inspired by a cervix.
