Jack Hoffman was the former bodyguard of billionaire Walter Londra during the 21st century.
History[]
Jack Hoffman was a mountaineer and biathlon athlete, and quickly became Walter Londra's best friend after the two met. As a birthday gift, Londra sourced and bought an original, last-of-its-kind, gas-powered Marchetti Tramonto for Jack.[1]

When Londra was celebrating his success, Jack ensured that Londra's former business partner could not abuse Londra by throwing a drink on him and ensuring the former partner was escorted out. Walter claims this was the defining moment of their relationship and Jack was by his side almost every day following.[2]
When Londra became insecure in his marriage, Jack was assigned to spy on Londra's wife, Evelyn Day to ensure that she was not cheating on him.[3] During this time, Jack bought Londra a rifle for his birthday so the pair could go big game hunting in Botswana.[4] However, Jack and Evelyn ended up having an affair themselves, which prompted Londra to divorce her,[5][4] and to see the rifle he was given as a sign to always watch his back.[4]
During the onset of the Faro Plague, Jack chose to abandon Evelyn and flee to the Rocky Mountains and die on his own terms, which she considered to be "Hemingway bullshit".[6]
