- "He was one of ours. So was Regalla. Desert Clan's pride and joy."
- ―Drakka
Grudda is a minor character and antagonist in Horizon Forbidden West. He serves as a champion of Regalla.
History[]
Grudda was once of the Desert Clan, hailing from the village of Arrowhand.[1]
Fashav's first assignment as a Marshal was to handle a dispute between Grudda and Drakka over future hunts: Grudda argued for hunting greater machines to obtain greater divisions, while Drakka argued for hunting lesser machines to minimize casualties. To Grudda's fury, Fashav sided with Drakka.[2]
Grudda was among the Tenakth that joined Regalla's rebellion.
Horizon Forbidden West[]
Grudda accompanied Regalla in the attack on the embassy between the Carja and Tenakth, remaining by her side as her brethren attacked. When Aloy and Varl were the only ones left standing, Grudda received Regalla's blessing to take them on himself. Gliding down on a Shieldwing, Grudda engaged the two outlanders, easily injuring Varl. However, Aloy proved more resilient and damaged his Shieldwing, leaving him vulnerable enough to be felled by a death blow. Aloy later salvaged his Shieldwing after the battle.[3]

Trivia[]
- Despite hailing originally from the Desert Clan, Grudda appears to be wearing Lowland Clan tattoos. Also, unusual for a Tenakth, Grudda doesn't wear any face paint.
- The reason for this is likely because Grudda's model reuses assets from the Tenakth Champion's model, which also wears Lowland Clan tattoos.
