Gilvarn complimented Milduf for his food, stating that it was so good that it kept him going for a week and made him feel like he could have "put a Strider in a sleeper hold".[2]

After his adventure in the Forbidden West, Milduf brought Pentalla to the tavern in Chainscrape to teach her some Oseram recipes and cooking techniques. Gilvarn interrupted these lessons, teasing Milduf for not lasting long in the Forbidden West and for having a woman as a captor.[3] Despite Milduf telling her not to, Pentalla stood up for him and started a fight, which was quickly stopped by Petra, who kicked Pentalla and Milduf out of the tavern.[4]
