Kev, I get it. Trust me, I do. We spent an entire career bringing them back from the brink of extinction, just for it to end like this anyway. Makes you wonder what the point was in any of it. But giving them this final flight is the best we can do for them now.

It's done. Sent them on their way just after 3pm. Few of 'em hung about a bit, but after a while just took straight off into the park. For a moment I nearly whistled 'em back, but... I knew deep down you're right. Who am I to take those last moments of freedom from them? Watching them go, their wings stretched out against the sky... I swear I've never seen anything more beautiful.
