Learning the Expert Carver skill increases Aloy's chances to loot valuable items from wildlife and machine kills. The drop rate of animal skins and bones from wildlife kills is increased by 15%, and the drop rate of hearts and lenses from machine kills is increased by 5%.[1]
This skill allows Aloy to spend less time hunting for the resources needed to craft upgrades to the carrying pouches and provides a greater opportunity to earn metal shards through trade.
