Dyes are a feature in Horizon Forbidden West. They are used to dye outfits and can be unlocked through quests or purchased from Dyers.
Dyes must be unlocked and purchased to be used. Dyes can be purchased through trading Blooms and Metal Shards with a Dyer or by completing quests. Once unlocked, 25 Metal Shards are traded for the dye which will then be immediately equipped to the outfit. Dyes must be purchased each time the players wishes to dye the outfit. Complete removal of dyes costs 1 Metal Shard.
Dyes[]
Dyes are organized by tribe and therefore can only be applied to outfits from the same tribe as the dye. Note that Blooms and Champion's Tokens are only required for the first purchase of the dye. All subsequent purchases will only require Metal Shards.
