"The Old Ones fought and died here. It feels like a graveyard."
Ryas

Devil's Anger is a location in Horizon Call of the Mountain.

Description[]

Devil's Anger is the ruins of an Old Ones facility atop of and inside a mountain. The most prominent feature, however, is the Horus frozen at its peak. The structure itself has been severely damaged by the Horus Siege Drills penetrating through the mountain, allowing numerous Corruptors inside. Due to exposure to the elements, much of the facility has been frozen over.

This location served as Asera's base of operations in her plot to destroy Meridian. Multiple rope winches were constructed by her group to facilitate traversal throughout the facility.

History[]

Asera and her followers made Devil's Anger their main base of operations in her plot against Meridian. She was able to capture three Tallnecks and held them within the facility to attach machine lures onto. Urid tracked Asera down to Devil's Anger but was captured by her men. Ryas also made it to Devil's Anger after having a transmitter repaired, giving him access to the rope winch connecting Devil's Anger from Mother's Tears.

He too was captured by Asera's men, but through a ploy, Ryas and Urid were able to escape, though the latter ended up breaking his leg in the fall. Asera used lures to summon a Stormbird and Ryas lured it away from his brother and onto the summit where it was defeated. Making his way through the facility, Ryas discovered the Tallnecks Asera had captured and placed lures on. He was able to destroy the lures on and free one Tallneck, but Asera began to execute her plan and moved out with the remaining two Tallnecks towards the pass at Eagle's Fall.
