Dekka is a character in Horizon Forbidden West from the the Lowland Tenakth. She is a Chaplain, acting as an elder and advisor for her clan and interpreting the Visions of the Ten in the Memorial Grove.

As an older Tenakth, Dekka lived much of her life during the Clan Wars. The war claimed all of her children, and all but one of her grandchildren, her grandson Kavvoh. Despite her efforts to vent her anger in battle, Dekka realized there was no solace to be found on the battlefield, finding it instead in the Visions of the Grove. It would come as no surprise, then, that Dekka readily accepted the goals of Hekarro to unify the clans under a banner of peace.
Regalla's Rebellion[]
Sadly, Dekka would once more see her tribe at war amongst themselves when the former Marshal Regalla launched a rebellion against Hekarro. As an additional blow, Kavvoh joined the rebellion for a chance to fight the Carja, having been too young to fight during the Red Raids.
When Aloy arrived at the Memorial Grove in search of AETHER, Dekka recognized her and escorted her to meet Chief Hekarro. After Aloy agreed to help the Chief in exchange for access to AETHER, Dekka armed her on her way out and provided her with information about the road to Stone Crest.
Dekka was in charge of the Kulrut's northern defenses, which she prepared for by arming the Arena's entrance with cannons and traps. Once the Kulrut began, she, alongside Aloy and a group of other Tenakth, fought back against the initial wave of Regalla's army. However, Dekka's preparations were fruitless against Regalla's true plan of entry: a Rockbreaker that burrowed a tunnel beneath the Arena. Dekka stayed at the northern side to rally the troops while Aloy raced back to the Arena.
Following the battle's end, Dekka watched in amazement as the Visions of the Grove, including the one that inspired Hekarro, were restored by Aloy. Dekka was the one to activate the Vision, witnessing along with many other Tenakth the Vision that had brought them peace.

Patient and collected, Dekka is respected among her clan for her wisdom and discipline.
Having lived through the Clan Wars, during which she lost all but one of her relatives, Dekka is fully committed to Hekarro's mission of peace.
