You have now entered the crater site, the actual location of the fission explosion that ended the Battle of the Mojave.
On August 20, 2037, U.S. Robot Command initiated Operation: Unity, moving on JTF-10's Mojave base in an effort to capture Roberto Medina and other hot zone leaders alive. The heavy machine strike was met with fierce resistance until an explosion (likely caused by a JFT-10 munition cracking the power casing of a G-Syn battle drone) leveled the base and decimated the two opposing forces. Nearly all present were killed, including Medina and Colonel De La Hoya, as well as some 900 refugees sheltered nearby.
The carnage prompted an immediate end to hostilities. Soon after, an armistice was agreed upon, and reconciliation talks began. Anne Faraday was appointed to lead the effort, and aided by her force of neutral peacekeepers (popularly referred to as "Marshals" in a nod to the region's history), a lasting peace took root.

This datapoint is found in the stands on the northeast side of the Arena, but only appears after the completion of The Kulrut.
