Cook is a type of Merchant introduced in Horizon Forbidden West. They can be found in major Settlements and sell Food. Each Tribe has its own unique cuisine.

Purchasing Food

The player can purchase Food from a Cook in exchange for Metal Shards or Food Resources, which are obtained by hunting wildlife and foraging from plants. It is only possible for the player to purchase Food from a Cook. Food can be sold to other merchants, however, and is found under the Tools tab.

The player can obtain the A Dash of Courage by talking with Milduf and The Taste of Victory by talking with Pentalla. Additionally, the player can find Daen (accompanied by Lea and Ioh) during a random encounter by the Tallneck south of Plainsong.
