The Carja Shadow is a rare outfit in Horizon Forbidden West. A different version, known as the Shadow Stalwart Heavy, appears in Horizon Zero Dawn.

Acquisition

The Carja Shadow can be purchased from the stitchers in Plainsong, Scalding Spear or the Maw of the Arena for 1 Longleg Circulator and 399.

Description

The Carja Shadow can be upgraded up to four times. At base, it provides +1 to Low Health Defense and Potent Medicine. At level 3, a second modification slot is unlocked, containing a +2 Concentration+ weave by default.

The Carja Shadow can be sold for 200. When fully upgraded, it can be sold for 1 Large Machine Core, 1 Small Machine Core, 7 Sturdy Hardplates and 491.

Notes/Advice

Strengths

• When fully upgraded, the Carja Shadow has the highest melee resistance of all rare outfits, and is even higher than some very rare outfits.
• The Carja Shadow's high melee resistance and skills make it especially useful at the time it can be obtained, being obtainable upon gaining access to Plainsong, during the main quest The Dying Lands.
• Due to it being a rare outfit, the Carja Shadow is considerably easier to upgrade than very rare outfits with similar resistances.

Weaknesses

• The Carja Shadow doesn't provide the immunity to blinding and sound attacks that the Shadow Stalwart has.
