Brightdawn is a location in Horizon Call of the Mountain.
Description[]
Located near Dawn's Grasp, Brightdawn is a mountain overlooking much of the surrounding valley, though it is eclipsed by the Sunspear. It is sparsely populated, with only a handful of watchtowers and a couple campsites used by soldiers to monitor the area. A dock is located by the river at its base, allowing supplies and people to make their way to Dawn's Grasp from other areas of the Sundom.
At its summit, a colossal sculpture of a Sun-King (appearing to be Sadahin) is carved into the mountainside facing Dawn's Grasp, which is referred to as "The King's Shoulders."
History[]
When machines flooded the valley beneath Dawn's Grasp, the soldiers stationed on the mountain were forced to withdraw and defend the settlement when it was attacked. At least one watchtower was destroyed during this event.
Later, Ryas made his way up the mountain after the boat he was on was capsized by a Snapmaw. He was able to find a bow that had been left behind and later destroyed a Redeye Watcher. Upon reaching the overlook to Dawn's Grasp, he was knocked out by Hami and taken to the settlement.
Ryas made his way back to the mountain to hunt a pack of Scrappers that had been spotted along its upper slopes in order to scavenge a component from them to repair an elevator at the Pilgrim's Trail.
