The Blastsling is a ranged weapon type in Horizon Forbidden West.
Description[]
The Blastsling deals damage over a wide area on impact, making it effective against groups of enemies or large targets. Elemental bombs also leave a lingering pool of their element after detonation, slowly building up the status effect for anyone lingering within the area of effect. Unlike Horizon Zero Dawn, Aloy is also affected by this lingering pool and will slowly take damage and receive a status buildup.
As none of the Blastsling's ammunition is capable of Tear damage, it can only destroy components rather than remove them.
By default, all Blastslings have a base 15% chance for a critical hit that deals 30% more damage. Blastslings capable of Overdrawing also have an increased blast radius, Cluster Bombs splitting into 5 bombs instead of 3, and Elemental Bombs creating more damage areas over a wider area.
